What do you think of the new restricted access for new users?

Mr_JDTraynor [Edit] [Delete] 19:46, 29 July '08

Apparently, new applicatants for a DiS account will have to pass a test first. The test consists of a series of music-related questions. A pass-mark is required, and for some questions a correct answer is mandatory. The prospective new user has 48 hours to answer all the questions. The time is there to encourage users to do research if they don't readily know the answers.

For each new user there are twenty questions, but there are over a thousand possible questions. Which twenty each new user gets is random.

Some of the questions have been leaked by prospective new users who failed to pass. Examples are:

Describe how Don Van Vliet's mind worked in creating one of the songs on 'Trout Mask Replica'.

What is a "promoter"?

What is the best combination of mis-matched colours for a quirky band to wear?

Beards?

Who destroyed music?

List all Fall LPs in chronological order with track lists for the original releases.

Should Meatloaf?

What is it about Emmy the Great?

Describe?

Why?
