i can't stand this. so hot. so sweaty. been overdue a haircut for months now.

so what should i go for? my present hair is pretty much your standard indie side parting, on the sonic youth end of the indie hair spectrum (though looking a little more like someone from mudhoney recently. this is not good) and you can sort of see it in my profile pic. i want to keep it long-ish, but would like to regain the ability to see, so looking at at least 3 inches off. feel like i don't want to get the same old boring haircut again, though inevitably i probably will.

second part of this question: where in north london is a.good at cutting men's hair in a way that isn't just 'number 3 all over mate', b.would cost me around £30 and c.will have appointments within the next few hours? advice?
