"pulling" someone - please help me understand.

bleak [Edit] [Delete] 14:30, 24 July '08

ok so i've been here over a year now, and i still have a really hard time understanding the subtleties of the phrase "to pull someone".

i originally assumed when i heard people say it that they meant they'd gotten laid, but now i understand that it can mean anything from a snog (pash) to a sexy time (root). then recently a friend put a spanner in the works when he told me that it can also mean just having had the potential to get with someone!

how am i to know what someone means when they use this phrase? please help!
