Last time I spent a non-festival related night in Reading was in 1998.

Back then the options were simple:

1)Swear at pedestrians outside The Oracle
2)Watch China Drum, Joyrider or Tribute to Nothing rock the Alleycat
3)Get stabbed in the queue for Checkpoint Charlie
