mexican waves...
...are dangerous, be warned. after a couple of beers and a lot of sun, i took it upon myself to keep one going at the cricket yesterday afternoon.
i stood up with much enthusiasm, trying to spur yorkshire on to victory and, on sitting down, realised too late that my seat had flipped back up and i hit the ground at a high speed.
whilst doing this i not only spilt me beer and cause the annoying lancashire fans behind to call me a "twat", but i also managed to scrape my back on the upturned seat, leaving me with parallel, 6 inch long cuts down my back which bled for a few hours afterwards.
today, this, coupled with sunburn, hurts when i do the following things: walking, sitting, typing, lying (my back becomes one with the sheets) and breathing.
i'm sorry this is long but i need to share my story and warn people of the dangers of the mexican wave.
