wonder boys - michael douglas flick about a writer/teacher losing it whilst looking after a compulsive liar/gifted writer student played by Tobey Maguire. it's the film equivalent of a toasty fire.
arizona dream - vincent gallo quoting lines from raging bull, godfather part II and north by northwest with johnny depp and faye dunaway romantically involved, much to the chagrin of the bitter daughter played lily taylor.
pump up the volume - ace christian slater film where he plays a pirate DJ against The Man i.e. his school's headmistress.
