My life as I know it is Over. I am hideous! A few months ago I discovered some hard skin on my thumb and thought "cool, hard skin" and then it didn't go away and it really hurt when i tried to scrub it so i just thought "oh, painful hard skin"
And then last week (Thursday) someone was looking at my hands and he said "wow, you have a wart!" As much as I insisted that it was hard skin, I think I knew it wasn't but wasn't prepared to face up to it yet.

A week and a day later I am sat at my desk and i have accidentally slashed it open on something. When I look down the crack of the cut I see a bulbous root. Pretty disgusting. What should I do? I need to go to the doctor anyway so I might just chuck that in as another reason to go, but I did a little bit of self-diagnosis and it most resembles a verruca, which is crazy! Because it's on my thumb! And verrucas are in feet! Where on earth did i get it? I never touch feet! Is it because my towels are always damp and my bedroom is always damp? Is it the damp?
