so i have just found out i have to take my 14 year old cat, rupert- a.k.a 'the fat cat'. 'roop', 'roopster'- to the vets on monday to get put down.

my folks had him since i was 13 years old, and he is the dude of all cats. and i truly love him like a member of my family.

my parents are away, so i have to go and get him on monday and take him TO GET KILLED.

this is going to be one of the very saddest days of my life so far.

anyone else had to do this? what happens? can you hold them while they get done?

i'm going to be a teary mess. (more than i already am).
