Can I have fun on £70 a month?

Comrade_Penguin [Edit] [Delete] 01:26, 22 February '08

Up until recently I was caring for my Dad but he's had an operation and is now even able to work again. I'm going back to Uni in September/October and I've calculated I'd have £70 a month to live off in savings if I don't work. I don't have to pay rent as I'm at home and thanks to my dad's compulsive urge to buy all the 3for2 offers at the supermarket, about half my food is bought for me. I really enjoy having the time free, taking photographs, reading, writing and doing some charity work and I really really don't want to go back to office temping. Obviously it is possible to survive on this much, easy in fact, but do you reckon I could manage to have plenty of fun if I was creative it would my life be a lot easier if I did just a few weeks work and upped that to say £100+? I'm guessing some of you must have mucked up in your student days and had to do this. What was it like?
