someone made £200 worth of calls on my phone

bleak [Edit] [Delete] 15:55, 21 February '08

so i lost my mobile phone friday night, and between the time that someone picked it up and the time that i realised it was gone, they made £200 worth of international calls on it. i only realised just now as i put my replacement sim in another phone and tried to make a call, and my account was restricted.

having spoken to o2, i find that i am completely liable to pay this amount because i didn't report the phone missing when i had yet to realise that it was missing. i don't have this money.

if anyone has any advice on how i can talk o2 into reducing the amount, i'd love to hear it.

also, i feel like i should have better phone karma having handed in the last mobile phone i found (as i would with any phone). does no-one else do this?

i hope that your day is going better than mine.
