Well for me (university of Liverpool) is this:

Robots in Disguise
Ladytron
Chris Lowe of the Pet Shop Boys

ignoring Embrace you'd think based on the 'electronic' people mentioned in this list that liverpool would create more inventive musicians than The Coral wouldn't you?
