CHANGES TO THE BOARDS (DiS development centric)

sean [Edit] [Delete] 21:25, 17 February '08

Hi All,

As you can see over there (--->) we've changed the format of advertising running down the right of the page on the boards. This is part of ongoing changes with the site, mainly to improve things, although initially it may not seem that way.

Having these ads on the page means that we can keep the DiS boards free for everyone to use and help fund our ongoing development (and save us from going the same way as Stylus, etc...). Obviously as a business we have to make some compromises and I know these ads will take a little getting used to and may seem intrusive to begin with, however we rely on this revenue.

Over the coming weeks we will be changing what appears in the right-hand column both above and beneath the advert, especially to highlight more content and add more functionality. We've also taken aboard comments from the past few weeks about making it easier to navigate from one board to another and various other tweaks you'd all like to see.

Hope you all understand,
Cheers
Sean

p.s. if anyone has any suggestions for improvements please speak up now.
