London
I was in Shaftsbury Avenue in the Big City on Friday night, seeing a play. It was damned fine too, based on the Goons. The bloke playing Harry Secombe could have passed as a relative of the man.
Anyway, my reason for posting is that - whilst I realise that for one I'm getting older, and two it probably isn't typical of the whole city of London - I cannot stand the hustle and bustle and bright lights and traffic and shit. Nothing about London has any interest for me. I'll still go to gigs quite happily but the sense that you could keel over in the street and no-one would notice left me cold. For entirely different reasons I think I'd rather be in Amsterdam or Copenhagen, what exactly is the attraction of London?
