so on saturday before going to a restaurant for her birthday, my girlfriends moderately well off parents took us to some bar in a posh london hotel for a quick drink. as it was a special occasion we could have what we wanted, but all i wanted was a simple coca cola, which i duly requested.

only to find that it cost £4.50. for a half pint.

thats £9 a pint. anyone else had a more overpriced drink in their life? (as in compared to what you usually pay rather than some mega expensive whiskey etc)
