Censorship or sensible?

Bundoz [Edit] [Delete] 12:20, 3 April '07

The usual media types are getting in a huff about the planned screening tomorrow night on ch4 of Tony Marchant's gulf war drama 'The Mark of Cain'. As it is meant to contain graphic scenes of british soldiers torturing iraqi prisoners, many are fearing that Iran will take deep offence and the safety of our captive troops will be in the shitter. Are'nt soldiers (anywhere in the world) putting their safety/lives at risk just by signing up to be a soldier? They made a choice and now they have to deal with all the gruesome baggage that comes with it. Thats what it is to be a soldier - you have to go to into battle sometimes and it aint pretty. But i digress. This to me is just another right wing attack by the media war-mongers that want to muzzle any dissent that our 'Boys' might be ( from time to time) up to no good. And if there is any negative fallout from the programmes screening, i fear it will be as a result of the gutter press stirring things up so they can sit back and say "See?! - we told you so!"
