Why is it mainly men who have a generall interest in music?

From my experience of gigs, the majority of girls are either clinging onto their boyfriends, giggling in the corner or getting "shanted" on cider they bought with their big sisters ID.

Im not saying all girls are like this (i know im far far from being like that) but yeah, anyone else notice a similar thing?
