So I'm promoting my own gig night
on Tuesday at the Good Ship from 8 and costs £4
It's called Silent Night and features:
David Cronenberg's Wife - really lyrically interesting Fall-esque songs
www.myspace.com/davidcronenbergswife
Paul Hawkins & Thee Awkward Silences - my band. I'm told we're pretty engaging live and I think we're entertaining and have good songs. I get compared to Daniel Johnston and Nick Cave if that helps.

L'il Lost Lou - Country punk songs
www.myspace.com/lillostlou
Albino - 60s style acoustic balladry done really, really well www.myspace.com/therealalbino
Something in the Water - Male/Female folk duo quite influenced by murder ballads era Nick Cave
and
JJ Crash - acoustic punk type songs.
I'm pretty sure it'll be a great night and I'm really happy with the line-up. Weirdly Timeout have put us in their list of top gigs for the week (just behind Art Garfunkel!) which is nice and a little odd.
Anyway I'm dead keen to meet more DiS people, and for the night to be a success, so I'd love it if people came down. Plus I'm trying to be kinda ethical so pretty much all the profit (if any exists) will go to the bands.
So it'd be great to see anyone who fancied coming along and introducing themselves.
