Wembleys Twin Towers

IndieAndy_Jones [Edit] [Delete] 16:05, 10 March '07

does anyone know what happened to these in the end? There was talk at the time of them being rebuilt 'brick for brick' somewhere else. Or were they just knocked down?

Also, I've seen the new wembley arch described as 'iconic' in a fair few places. And while there's no doubting that it is very big and curvy, is that enough for it to be considered iconic? Does something become iconic just because it looks nice, or does it have to attain some kind of history, meaning and public affection before it deserves the label 'iconic'?
