Seriously what do you do,
to get rid of people hassling you when you are on your own?
Last night as I waited for the bus to the tube station I noticed that the people next to me were absolutely smashed (this was at about 6pm too)
There was a 50 odd bloke and an older man and a woman, they sounded irish and were trying to find something in a little book. After a few minutes the 50 odd bloke stumbled up to me and started slurring something at me in a very, very thick accent that I could hardly understand, he kept shoving the book in my hand and after about 5 minutes I'd managed to gather he wanted me to find where their nearest AA meeting was. I found it for them, all the while with the guy leaning in to me and talking drunken shit. I kept backing away a bit and after I'd found the meeting for them I managed to move a bit away and they forgot about me for a while. Then the woman disapeared and the smae guy came up to me and just would not leave me alone, he wasn't being threatening or anything but he was seriously invading my personal dance space and by this point I was using my 'yeah mate, please fuck off' voice, which is still pretty lame tbh.
Anyway, I was standing there thinking, seriously, how do I get away? He was making me feel really uncomfortable and was far too close to me and smelt and I didnt like it at all. I didnt want to be 'rude' because I was scared he might turn nasty.
Also he asked me 'why doesn't my friend have a girl' or something along those lines and all I could have possibly said was 'because he's pissed off his face and dribbling' so I just kinda grunted.
What should I do next time im in a similar situation?
As it was I just jumped on the first bus that came even tho it wasn't the right one.
How does one sensibly get out of that situation?
Advice please!
