Then Saturday four of us got our bee hinds down to the Isle of Wight for a birthday party, in a community hall, with country dancing, for a 60 year old lady. It was way more fun than it should have been! Some upper class 'post war' furniture seller guy called Oliver came back to our chalet to carry on drinking with his Jack Russell, Rufus. He started revealing far too much about his past as he became more and more intoxicated. "Don't send your kids to private school. I was buggered at the age of ten..."

On Sunday we found some cows who were unimpressed by us. Cows are totally the best animal, by the way. Then we returned home to participate in the pub quiz, finishing sixth out of eleven - which is actually quite good, given the questions and how seriously the other teams take it
