The heartwarming story of the world's worst actors trying to perform the world's worst play. I saw the play this was based on a few years back and even though I fell asleep in the middle, I remember the rest as hi-larious.

This movie almost didn't make it though. For one, while the play was structured in three acts - one showing the dress rehearsal, and the other two showing the same performance from behind the scenes and in front, respectively - the film elected to have the second and third acts depict two different performances in different cities, which takes away some of the humour of the original.

Also bad could have been the decision to fill out the cast with Americans - as it turned out, this was the best part of the film, as Yanks with horrific British accents are always funny - this time intentionally.

It shouldn't have worked, but it so did.
