I was 'having' a conversation with my mother on the 'phone (that's how they wrote it in old books as it was a trendy abbreviation back then)and she said she "got her tree", and I said "is it real?" and she took umbrage at this and said she "never ever got real ones as they're too messy" - I pointed out politely that it wouldn't be mpving around the house and not cleaning up after itself like a surly pet but she wouldn't have it. And therefore I now have a valid reason NOT to go home for christmas. Anyone else think plastic xmas trees are the work of the devil? Also its what the proles get and therefore they deserve our contempt.
