i've got tickets to go and see Jeremy Hardy but work want me to go the Lord Mayor's christmas reception at the Town Hall.

Apparently the latter will have a statue made of chocolate and an endless supply of free alcohol but i will have to wear a suit and talk to tedious-as-fuck local government officials about incinerators.

On the other hand, I've not seen Jeremy Hardy before and i think he's quite a funny man.

Help me make my mind up please...
