Would you ever carry an object to defend yourself with if you were worried about getting any trouble from people in the city at night or whatever?

If yes, do you think that if someone approached you and asked you for your iPod or phone or wallet, that you'd be prepared to use the thing on them?

I'm not talking about a full-blown Rambo knife here, but if you had something like an electric stunner or something.

Would you have the guts to use something in defence, and face any possible legal consequences / risk just running off and never hearing about it again?
