Why are my track listings disappearing?

So I painstakingly label cds manually in iTunes when burning at the mo cos I've got no internet connection at home - and when I burn things for mates, the track listings go AWOL.

Regardless of whether or not I do it in iTunes or WMP.

Whyyyyy?
