If, say, on the way out of the tube this morning, I bumped into Mr joeymahone, it may have crossed my mind that in a city of 8 million or however many people, was actually an amazing coincidence.

However, I bump into people I know all the time, in mountain villages in Italy and on trains in Tanzania, so this convinces me that coincidences are not that unusual, or even necessarily entirely 'coincidental'. People of similar ages, who like to do similar things do tend to end up thinking along similar lines, and doing similar things.

However, if said DiSer was wearing EXACTLY the same clothes as me: same trousers, same top, bought from the same shop, AND the same shoes, that would probably be considered both Too Weird and Fucking Alarming, wouldn't it?
