Reporters Without Borders have recent compiled their index list of countries comparing the freedom of the press around the world

I wonder if anyone has any comments - particularly about the UK ranking joint 27th with Lithuania and the US ranking joint 53rd with Botswana, Croatia and Tonga

Is freedom of the press important or do we all just believe want we want to believe anyway? Or are we all so cynical that we don't believe anything ?
