i went to see islands play an early show supported by blueprint, and then gang gang dance play a late show on the other side of the city.

islands were fun but not as good as the bardens show in the summer, but then the venue was about 3x the size. also, they played a cover of 'waterloo sunset'. i'm really not sure why.

gang gang dance were amazing, i can't even really describe it. they were just like a blur of goodness. EXTREME GOODNESS.

anyway, i'm in chicago now and online because i'm trying to find out where a venue is for a show i want to go to tonight, but i'm coming up short. chicago is very pretty, it's a bit like london (but way prettier) and a bit like new york in attitude, but without piles of rubbish on the streets and lots of squirrels instead of rats. that's nice.

next week i get to go on a 52+ hours train journey. wooooo!
