how long does a marking have to be on your body before its considered a scar?

also: what scars do YOU have?

i have one under my nose from being pushed off a skateboard as a toddler, and the one that i cant work out whether its a scar or a long lasting scratch, on my right hip, from jumping over a tree in May.
