having received a lovely letter informing me that i have amassed around £12,500 debt it reminded me that it might take some time to pay this off...

but was it worth it? I'd certainly say so, i spent about 80% of the money i got in my first year on cds, gigs, alcohol and other forms of entertainment. All of which were greatly worthwhile.

As for the academic side of things i'm sure it helped me get a job pretty swiftly but as to the actual application of what i learnt at uni to the real world its probably pretty minimal.

so what about everyone else, have you amassed a small fortune of debt in the name of being a student? have you started paying it off? have you paid it off and how long did it take? and ultimately would you say its worth it?
