Having woken up annoyingly early with nothing to do (my sore throat is killing me and I'm hanging round waiting 'til the shops open to buy some medication and ice cream!), I'm starting to think about my Mixtape for Friday's Mixtape.

So how do people do these things usually? I'm attemting to go for a mixture of well-known but unexpected songs, songs everyone's forgotten but I love and new bands that I like. Is this a good strategy?

Also do people prefer a tracklisting or to be surprised as they listen?

Finally, presumably it's okay to do a mixtape on CD if you don't have a tape player?
