Social networking phenomenon MYSPACE.COM is being indicted in a group suicide case in California.

The website has yet to comment on the issue, whereby three teenage girls planned a suicide pact via the messaging system on the internet and carried out the suicide via a webcam connected to their online friends' computers.

A government technology official was quoted to say, "Myspace is a growing phenomenon for social networking and friendmaking, but there is obviously going to be negative side-effects to that. A suicide was inevitable."

The case comes to US courts later this month.
