On the bus the other day. Me and my friend go sit at the back. This guy (studenty-looking type) asks my mate if he has any tattoos, my friend show him his tattoo. Then he goes "I got this today" and lifts up his shirt to reveal one which says "Dearest Mother" or something and says "I've had a bad week, my mum died yesterday"

Me and my friend just looked at each other in horror and sort of mumbled "oh...sorry" or something then luckily he got off the bus a couple of stops later.
