Went in today to pick up an external hard drive I'd ordered online last night. Got in about 4.50pm and it became immediately apparent that their day of work was long over. Tried for about four minutes to get a member of staffs attention. Stood at desks with people refusing to come out from the little room at the back, letting out long sighs and going back to their game of hangman or whatever. Caught the eye of one heading in my direction. I went towards him and he detoured down another aisle to try to give me the slip and I retraced my steps and cut him off and said 'excuse me I'm here to pick up a hard drive'. He just completely blanked me and walked right past. I wasn't in the best of moods and snapped out a very loud "HAW YOU, I'M TALKING TO YOU". The aggression in my voice actually scared me because I'd never really heard myself like that before. The whole shop stopped around us, he looked as though he was in shock and ready to burst into tears. One of the supervisors snapped out of her coma and said 'don't speak to my staff like that'. I told her I was checking to see if he was staff because the shop didn't appear to have any. A member of staff was assigned to me and I was served and out.
Was this a one off or do they do their staff recruitment drives outside methadone clinics ?
