what a waste of time.

I'm sure it COULD have been a great film, based on a book by the LA Confidential guy, directed by Brian de Palma, good(ish) cast etc...

BUT ITS SHIT!

the acting was laughable at times, the story was so convoluted and confusing it got boring by the end and some of it was just plain BAD.

In conclusion - don't waste your money on this in the hope that it 'should be good' (like me) because it just isnt.
