who I KNOW was someone off TV. He was about 40-50, good looking, longish hair, and from Yorkshire. I'm pretty sure he's been in some seminal 80s (maybe police?) programme, and more recently played dad-type characters in things. I have no idea which programmes though, and have no idea how to find out.

Any suggestions?
