So I need to find a safety choice for applying to English Literature, and for some reason the lowest I've found is Edinburgh, which is BBB. This confuses me. Why does such a uni with such a reputation have those requirements? Pretty much all of its courses apart from Medicine need BBB.

Am I missing out on summat here, is it actually hard to get into or is this geniunely a safe choice?
