I'm terrible for this. Truly awful. If I meet a girl when I'm out, I'll forget her name within about six seconds of her telling me. Problem is, I don't realise that I have no idea what her name is until I either go to save her number in my phone or if I introduce her to a friend. I just freeze, like some absolute fool. But then it's gone too far to then ask them their name, as only a complete dick would not know the name of the person they've been chatting to for 20 minutes

Through harsh experience, I've learnt to hand my phone to my new and apparently anonymous friend for them to punch the number in. This has proved successful

Last night I bumped into a girl that I used to be 'courting' about six months ago, and her name had quite literally dropped out of my brain. I'm fairly sure she realised, and I haven't been so embarrassed for as long as I can remember

Does anybody else have this? Is it a man thing? Or just an idiot thing? Unfortunately for me, I fall into both of these categories
