–adjective 1. Portmanteau formed from joining the words "stupid" and "intelligent". Used to describe something superficially stupid, yet containing a degree of intelligence in its execution. Likewise, can be used to describe something that seems clever, but is in fact really stupid. Like Franz Ferdinand and the Arctic Monkeys.
