so i just watched it and i really enjoyed it. the main plot was a little hokey (i was enjoying the gritty realism of batman fighting regular criminals!) but christian bale was good, katie holmes wasn't nearly as annoying as i had been lead to believe (but i have a soft spot for her anyway) and i thought the depiction of Gotham was stunning. it became so OTT in the latter of the 90s movies, so it's nice to see it being reigned in. really gave it a sense of urban claustrophobia.
