I was talking about this to friends over the weekend about crap horrible summer jobs and shit jobs before and after graduating and we agreed that all students should have a 'taste' at a horrible service industry job or something pointlessly manual instead of travelling as an eye-opener to the 'real world' or as an 'experience'.

So, should there be a law passed meaning that you can't travel until you've done at least 4 weeks knee deep in dishes being abused by the permanent staff for still having you original teeth and skin OR is it far too much to expect little Toby to take on board with ALL THAT revision as well.....

For the record I did to potwashing and learnt more from watching the passive/agressive two faced resentment between staff than anything I've seen 'round the world
