so I'd like to move to Southampton as I think I'll have more friends there, a better social life and more money. And I have a chance to move into a shared house in September. The only problem is it's a bit scummy in places and the room is a bit small.

My question is this: If you were me, would you let the scumminess of the kitchen and bathroom and the smallness of the room put you off?
