I have an old school friend who is 'throwing' an 80s party - sadly as we went to school in the latter half it wont be music by the Gang of Four, The Pop Group, Scritti Politti and Young Marble Giants - no, it will be lots of post Live Aid megamixes and metal-lite no doubt. Of course I'm not attending but really why don't people when they have 'nostalgia' parties why don't they make them more oscure in terms of references - you just know this 80s party will be drenched in Wham and Frankie Goes To Hollywood - oh dear why?

And people expected me to be happy when the fooking Mondays came around.
