I very rarely watch ITV news but have it on at the moment and there was a report on British People feeling Beiruit.

It seemed bizarrely sinister. A military helicopter was rescuing British people who were considered "priorities" to be evacuated and when ITV were asked if this was an "official operation" the woman organising it said no and refused to say who was organising it.

Isn't that a bit bizarre. How can an unofficial military operation have a military helicopter? If it's unofficial, who's deciding who the "priorities" are to be evacuated?

In fairness, many of those being evacuated were children so it probably wasn't all that sinister but it still made me feel like there were a lot of questions being raised.
