Albuterol can relax airway muscles and thus boost the flow of air to lungs. The medication is used for treatment or prevention of bronchospasm in patients suffering from reversible obstructive airway disease, as well as for prophylaxis of bronchospasm induced by physical exercise.
Albuterol should be taken in strict compliance with your doctor’s instructions and directions on the prescription label. Do not change the dosage or the prescribed period of use without prior medical consult.

Do not use the medication if you are allergic to it.

Before using the Albuterol inhaler for the first time, direct it away from your face, shake and produce four test sprays in the air. Conduct the same priming procedure if you haven’t used it for at least 14 days or dropped it before use.

To use the Albuterol inhaler:

Shake the inhaler before spraying.

Uncap the bottle, exhale, put the mouthpiece into your mouth, and wrap your lips around it.

Spray slowly while inhaling. Hold your breath for around 10 seconds and then exhale slowly. Make at least a 1-minute break between inhalations.

These are standard procedures used for regular inhalation devices. The individual way of use will depend on your individual health conditions and should be defined by your doctor. Be careful not to use inhalation devices incompatible with your prescribed medications.
DO NOT use the medication if you are allergic to it. If you experience any symptoms associated with allergies such as difficulty breathing, hives, swollen tongue etc., stop using the medication and seek urgent medical help.

Make up for the missed dose if you have forgotten to take one, but only if there is still plenty of time left until the next scheduled dose. If the time when you remembered about the missed dose coincides with the time of the next one, simply take one prescribed dose and skip the one you’ve missed.Store Albuterol at room temperature between 59°F and 77°F (15°C and 25°C) away from moisture and heat. Extreme heat can cause the medicine canister to explode. Do not store it in your car on hot days. Do not throw an empty canister into open flame.
