You The Living (dreamy electronic stuff, big guitars) looking for members in London
Hi guys; the other half has decided that being a musician isn't for her, so she's stepping back from her keyboard to exclusively do our artwork and live performance direction. As such, I need new people to go onstage with, as I'm not going up there alone with a backing track - that'd just be sad. You can find our music at http://soundcloud.com/youtheliving.
I'm looking for synth players and a drummer, primarily - but bassists will be considered, too. We're pretty much the middle ground between Cocteau Twins and Nine Inch Nails, with a bit of Einstürzende Neubauten thrown in. Our image and live performances are also very, very important, so I need people who are happy to wear monochrome stuff and won't think it's poncey to have a unified aesthetic. We have gigs coming up, most of which are close to selling out:
Sat March 7th - Firstival, Deptford
Sat March 12th - Camden Lock Tavern
Fri May 22nd - Islington Lexington w/ The Membranes
Sun June 7th - Dark Waters Festival, Nottingham
Synth people: I have a keyboard and an iPad with all of our sounds on it, but if you have your own gear and you're able to match our sounds, that's great - it'll allow me to play synth in some parts!
Drummers: you'll need to be click-friendly, as we have a lot of samples and stuff on a backing track. Other than that, I'm looking for Todd Trainer, not Neil Peart. If you have those electronic pad things, that's even better!
Interested? Drop me a message. Want Tramadol? That's the other thread.
