Band night for post-rock/post-punk acts
Snare Girl records ((( www.snaregirl.com ))) are now putting on a semi-regular night Upstairs @ The Enterprise pub in Chalk Farm and we are looking for acts who are interested in performing. The next night is on May 17th 2003.
The night is still in its infancy but we plan for it to become a crossroads where the strange and the not-so-strange meet. We will be asking any performers to try something a bit different. Ideally those people on stage will either be taking their existing material and/or ideas and moving with it as far as they can from their normal renditions or going off in a completely new direction. The more experimental you can be, the more excited we will be. Think of this night as an opportunity to try out new things away from the pressures of a larger venue, in a place where ideas are seen as far more valuable than a polished performance. Try out some new things and get a reaction from serious music fans.
Our aim is to bring interesting music to people at a low cost and with maximum ease for the bands involved, in order to allow creativity to be at its peak.
We hope to achieve this by:
...holding the night in an easy to get to North London location
...only charging £2 on the door
...providing most of the equipment (amps, drums, PA and so on) so that all you will need are your guitars, laptops, keyboards or whatever it is you use to make your noise
If you are interested in playing, coming along or if you want more information then email us at 0urrEGuLarfeATURe@snaregirl.com
Thanks for listening.
