We're an electronic rock band with label interest. We are looking for a bass player who shares our influences...these consist of and expand on Nine Inch Nails, Burial, Autechre, Trail of Dead, Tool, The Cure, Bjork, Junior Boys, WIld Beasts.
we've spent quite some time finding the right front person. now that we've done this, we need a bass player to complete the core of the line up. In the next few months, our plan is to start playing shows again, rerecord our ep and release it into the industry, whilst additionally (and constantly) working on / recording new material.
we are based in manor house, where we have our own rehearsal space. rehearsals would be 3/4 times a week.
we need someone extremely committed, as we are aiming to do this for a living. as a band, we are technically proficient, and require that in a bass player. we need someone who is capable of playing different styles. preferably should be able to finger pick as well as playing with a plectrum. furthermore, since we are an electronic band, a familiarity with pedals is important. there is a psychedelic aspect to our sound, which we wish to push live. above all we need someone with an open mind. our sound incorporates a lot of different influences. at the core of this we are simply massive music fans.
