Oxjam is a music festival made up of hundreds of events around the UK in October. These events are organised by people who know and love their local music scene. All in aid of Oxfam.

Oxjam Clapham is back for 2013 and will be taking over Clapham High Street, on 26th October, promising to showcase the best new and emerging music from all around London- with a few surprises.

We are looking for bands, DJ’s, singer songwriters, performance artists, dancers and theatre makers of all genres and styles to help us raise money for Oxfam’s vital work in the UK and beyond.

Since the first Oxjam in 2006, more than 50,000 musicians have played to over 1 million people
at around 4000 Oxjam events nationwide. Oxjam has raised more than £2 million in total for
Oxfam: enough to provide safe water for 2 million people, buy 80,000 goats or feed 4000 communities.

Oxjam Clapham is a multi venue event (think Camden Crawl or The Great Escape), run entirely by volunteers, and all proceeds will go directly to Oxfam’s work. This in mind we’re asking all participating artists – large or small – to participate in this fundraiser by playing for free.

This can be anything from a full headline set to a early showcase slot at both our Takeover and warm-up gigs. We are open to suggestions and want to work with you.

As part of Oxjam 2013, you will be associated with an amazingly high profile nationwide event.

In dozens of towns and cities, and at hundreds of events, hundreds of bands and thousands
of people will make Oxjam this year’s ultimate DIY festival.

We have a dedicated local marketing team working to generate excellent regional press and media, producing online marketing and dedicated flyer teams. Oxjam’s central team are co-ordinating the national campaign for all events, and we’ll all benefit from national advertising, and a high profile media launch in London.

All this will ensure our event is hugely popular and means that we will be able to raise both awareness and funds for Oxfam’s life changing work around the world.
