That's me, hi there.

I used to be the frontman and songwriter in the band 4or5 Magicians - www.myspace.com/4or5magicians - but don't let that put you off!

Written an album's worth of new songs and in the process of demoing them now. Was gonna wait to start recruting until after the demos are done (will be finished by the end of October) but I figured I'd put the word out now just in case any people remembered the last band and might be up for it off the back of that.

It's very much a rock band thing rather than singer/songwriter and not a million miles off the 4or5 Magicians stuff in terms of sound, but being as objective as could be possible in this situaton it is definitely better - and we got a fair few 8s and 9s out of 10 in all areas of the press (with minimal to zero PR) for our album so make of that what you will. Given the response to the last band and the fresh impetus this time around, I'd be surprised (if I get the right people involved in the band!) if this doesn't result in an album release on a good label and national (hopefully international) touring in 2012.

Influences are wide ranging, basically anyone who has ever written a good fun tune, but somewhere in the region of Guided By Voices, Archers Of Loaf, Big Star, Nirvana, REM, Pavement, Pixies etc.

Based in South London right now but also got strong ties to Brighton.

Seeking a solid and charismatic drummer, a keyboard player (preferably who can sing and also play a bit of basic guitar and percussion) and most importantly a really good lead guitarist with live experience who knows his stuff. Maybe a bass player too but I think i might have that covered.
